After more than 16 years in business and business management, Michael's interests and talents led him to specialize in financial and wealth planning, including estate and business succession planning and liability and risk management strategies. He learned from some of the best during his tenure with Smith Barney, a member of Citigroup and Merrill Lynch, before partnering with Tim Mahalak and opening Caprai Mahalak Financial Group.

Michael is not only devoted to his family and clients, but to his community as well. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Relief Nursery, which raise funds and awareness for at-risk children and families. Additionally, he has led the Parent Organization at his children's school and served as Honorary Chairman for the National Business Advisory Council.

Michael has also served on various councils at the Eugene Chamber of Commerce, ranging from Local Government Affairs to Economic Development and as administrator of financial ministries where he trained financial counselors and teaches classes in prudent financial strategies.

In his free time, Michael enjoys cooking and a variety of outdoor activities with his family, including golf, running, tennis, hiking, fly-fishing, and coaching. Michael lives in Eugene with his wife Sheri and their two children, Zach and Hannah.

Tim began honing his skills in financial and wealth planning, including wealth management strategies and estate planning, during his years with financial giant, Smith Barney, a member of Citigroup, both in Portland and Eugene. He went on to partner with Michael Caprai and opened Caprai Mahalak Financial Group, with its goal of practicing a goals based planning firm.

Tim recently finished a three-year term as a National Alumni Board representative for his alma mater, University of Portland, where he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance. Tim continues to educate himself and is currently studying for his CFP^® certification.

Tim's deep commitment to the community inspires him to devote time to the Eugene Active 20-30 Club, which raises funds for disadvantaged children in Lane County. He also serves on the boards of the Active 20-30 Foundation and Lane Memorial Blood Bank.

In his free time, he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including golf, running, mountain biking, and hiking. Tim resides in Eugene with his wife Angela and their daughters Madeline and Sophia.
